Before we write service pages, we ask whether the site is even eligible to rank. These are the first fifteen checks on an Indian business site.
- HTTPS everywhere — mixed content still breaks trust.
- One canonical host — www or apex, not both. This site 301s apex to www.
- robots.txt that allows public pages and blocks
/adminand/api. - XML sitemap that lists only indexable URLs.
- No accidental noindex on production. Preview hosts should stay noindex.
- Unique title and meta description per URL, within sensible length.
- H1 that matches the query — one H1, not a logo image pretending to be a heading.
- Mobile usability — tap targets, viewport, no horizontal scroll.
- Core Web Vitals — especially LCP on 4G. Compress heroes; avoid giant sliders.
- Status codes — 200 for live pages, 301 for moves, 404 for gone. No soft 404s.
- Canonical tags that point to themselves unless a page is a duplicate.
- Hreflang only if you truly have language versions — this site is English-only.
- Structured data that is true — Organization, LocalBusiness, Article. No fake AggregateRating.
- Search Console verified on the canonical property, sitemap submitted.
- Analytics after consent — GA4 if you want it, not a second copy from Firebase.
What we do not do
We will not sell guaranteed page-one rankings, buy links, or stuff city names into thin pages. If someone promises “first page in 30 days,” they are selling a promise Google does not make.
After the checks
Technical debt first, then content. If you want us to run this list on your domain, use the audit request or talk to us about SEO services.
